Hi JD:
Excellent podcast. I personally, after 40+ years of training, have also found that varying intensity, volume, sets, reps and weight loads, on a regular basis, keeps me motivated and coming back. For years I was looking for the one “perfect routine” and debating whether volume or HIT was the “correct” way. Now, at age 63, I listen to my body, especially my joints and do something everyday that stimulates the muscles but doesn’t incapacitate me in the process.
Right on!! Thanks for the listen/follow brother, JD
Is it suboptimal to train fasted first thing in the morning right when you wake up if you eat enough the night before and have a meal right after, or would it be more optimal to have a meal first?
It’s fine. I believe the body is good at adapting and overall cals over the course of the week is what matters. You have to do what works for you. But with that being said, there is an advantage once in awhile to changing things up, but we need to make bodybuilding work with life, not the other way around. Thanks for reading! -JD
Just found the podcast. I bought an ebook too thanks brother
