So about 5 or 6 years ago I was researching high rep routines online and came across an article from a guy who went by the name of Victor Pride.
The article was on legendary bodybuilder Serge Nubret. Although I'm partial to HIT routines I do occasionally mix it up with volume, so it's not unusual for me to continuously research training methodologies along with nutrition.
The article was very well constructed and I decided to read some other articles on this new website I had found, shortly after finishing the Serge Nubret article. After reading a few other articles I continued to revisit the blog site “Boldanddetermined.com” numerous times.
The site was largely based on fitness and nutrition but what I truly enjoyed was how the author ventured out into more than just the gym lifestyle.
This Victor Pride guy talked about many things that I think men need nowadays!!
He talked about having direction, self-empowerment, finding your place in life, building and creating things, relationships, and a host of other topics that he put his own perspective on; a perspective that goes against the grain, but one that many men would agree with!!
I knew right off the bat that this was written by someone who had been through struggle and defined himself within those struggles. You see, I knew that because I could relate to a lot of what he spoke about.
And without some of these life struggles it could be difficult for some people to relate, but you'll learn about taking risks to build things from reading the B&D articles.
There are 2 things about growing up I came to realize;
- people are afraid of everything as they grow up
- people across all age groups prefer to take no risks and achieve nothing instead of taking any risks to achieve everything!!
So when I read a lot of what he wrote about I understood that it was coming from someone who took risks.
If there is one major key element in the way he would write articles it was that they were laid out in a way someone who would be afraid to take risks could start seeing possibilities in their own life.
Reading B&D became like a step-by-step guide for anyone who needed to venture out of their comfort zone to achieve great things in life!!
Those lost B&D articles became a huge motivator for a lot of people who eventually took action and moved up the ladder in life.
After getting involved in the online fitness world I started meeting some of these people who went on to begin their own businesses, It was really exciting to see people who took action and placed themselves in a better spot in life (myself included)!!
