Hey guys, we've got two new videos out today from John Doe Bodybuilding!!
First up, here's a video of a typical chest and bicep workout I would do.
Next, I want to cover some back and shoulder workout tips you should know to effectively gain muscle.
1) Keep your pinkie up and your thumb down for lateral raises!!
The purpose of this technique is to keep you from flailing your damn arms up in the air. You don't want that.
Doing lateral raises the right way will make your shoulders more nicely capped off and rounded.
2) If you're getting fatigued during supersets, alternate your grip!!
Let's say you are doing supersets of lateral pull downs and wide grip pull downs.
I will typically do 3 – 4 sets of these supersets.
You will probably get pretty tired doing wide grip pull ups right after your lateral pull downs.
Once you can't get 8 – 10 good pull ups in, alternate your grip!!
Try a parallel grip or use an assisted pull up machine.
3) Do your one arm dumbbell raises as if you were cranking up a lawn mower!!
This way works way better than the typical way guys are doing these – you really get that FULL STRETCH!
4) Try a hard ass pump workout for some excellent blood flow!!
I like to do this as a finisher. It's a great example of one of the harder activities that I like to do all the way at the end of a workout.
I like to save the hardest for last!
In the video you'll see I am using a smith machine to get a good rhythm going with the weight.
I am doing the reps faster and it's all for the blood flow. You'll notice this is the opposite of my typical, effective advice to do slow negative/positive speeds for your reps!
Alright guys, get in there and try a few of these new techniques out!!
Over and out.
